Book Review: Caite Dolan-Leach’s ‘Dead Letters’

“In this, her startling debut novel, Dolan-Leach nimbly entwines the clever mystery of Agatha Christie, the wit of Dorothy Parker, and the inebriated Gothic of Eugene O’Neill,” wrote Kirkus. PW gave it a starred review.  I am in agreement with the critics.

(A is for) Astonishing — how the author works the theme and style in this novel whose characters propelled me as much as the hide-and-seek, alphabet game to (Z is for) zip through it. The narrative voice is Absolut-ly absolutely enticing.
